Roddick traded in Mandy Moore for Brooklyn Decker. Upgrade? Downgrade? I like Mandy a lot but I don't know.

Did anyone see that cheesy ass "Blackberry loves U2" commercial during the match? I think it aired sometime in the 4th set. That was an eyeroller. Reminded me of some Cockplay bullshit.

Downgrade. B-Deck is hot, but I love me some Mandy.

I think I just had an unforced error.

Nice body, but somewhat a butterface. I say downgrade...but I'd practice my ground strokes with her.

I thought BoMac had won this one. Little did I know.

I am elated for Federer and heartbroken for Roddick. Unbelievable match. I've been lucky to catch every truly great grand slam match since Borg-McEnroe in 1980 (which got me playing and competing seriously myself).

Yay for Roger! But holy shit, did Roddick make him work hard or what. All respect to him.

Downgrade my ass. I'd lay a drop shot over her net.

That's just downright uncanny.
There's a porn star named Roger Ferrer, I'm pretty damn sure, and he looks even more like Fed than this bloke

That was one killer match with everything on the line. Fed hasn't got the ability to dominate like in '05-07 but now his victories are coming Balboa style, if you know what I mean.

In its own way, I'm appreciating elements of Fed's game that I took for granted through the years he killed everyone out there. The mental fortitude, the strategy, the cheap points, the sheer stamina to go that distance. Makes for a far more likable champion. I know MJ dominated basketball but truly, it would have been great to have seen a vulnerable side of his...that's a little more endearing.

Roger Federer = Rocky Balboa.

Sick in my stomach for Andy's Roddick's pain at this moment. To lose the championship on the one and only break of your serve. I hope he comes back and shows some of the young, whiny brats (Murray, Djokovic notably) he isn't a forgotten man after Fed & Nadal. He's had more straight years in the top 10 and commands more respect than these newbies the presses seem to tout. He's the man Andy Roddick!

In defeat today did Andy Roddick achieve true greatness. Fed's 15th - and the fact that Andy made it so very memorable - will forever be part of tennis lore.

Sorry to all of those that like boxing/MMA/golf etc, but tennis is the absolutely best individual sport out there. Not sullied by overloaded/pointless stats nor, by arrogant, brash, reckless or overly violent personas. There's a grace underscored by sheer athletic power to the game. There's a rich history. There's also a coordination of all moving parts. It's a great combination of many virtues that make sports great.

Plus, the girlfriend loves it too. She can't get into football, hockey or basketball but tennis, she feels, is a real man's game.

lazarus - that avatar is plain distasteful (in my opinion). T'is one thing to poke fun of a man when he's alive - and in some way able to control/shape his image/legacy - quite another to mock a person who's just passed away...rather tragically I might add.

I won't go so far as to say the world's a sadder place without MJ in it, but I do feel in the end he was essential to the evolution of the industry (technology, distribution, definition etc). For better or worse is not my purview to speculate, just that, perhaps, now that he's dead, lets leave the man alone for a bit.
