AC Milan 0 - Inter Milan 4

Goals from the milan derby yesterday.

not a bad start for mourinho this season. great strike from stankovic. inter could be a real threat in the champions league this year. eto'o, sneider, milito, stankovic, cambiasso. they've got some top players and looks like they might not miss zlatan all that much.

haha wenger.

his teams play some wonderful football but he's such a bad loser and yesterday just descended into farce. good game though. man united didn't deserve to win in my opinion, a draw would have been a fair result.

chelsea look pretty good this year and they've still got joe cole to come back. although everyone was saying this about them last year under scolari...

Yes but Scolari was a joke. He had game days at training and let them have 'a few days off' if they were playing well. It's the Premier League, not under 6's.

Add to Cole coming back Zirkhov, Alex and Ferriera

chelsea banned from signing players until 2011 haha. can't think of a nicer club for it to happen to.
Great news! I laughed my head off when I heard it.

But I think it's actually pretty good for them. They can at least build a team instead of just buying players.

Serves them right

hope Ashley Cole catches AIDS and dies as well the money grabbing bastard
Or he gets done over by a proper Roy Keane style tackle like the one on Inge Haaaland

(I am an arsenal fan)

That would be good too. I also hope that Ancelotti gets sacked in a few months time. That would just be great. Are they allowed to get a new coach?

Statement from the club is that they will challenge it strongly, and that the penalty is totally disproportionate to the alleged offence or the financial penalty imposed.

Seems fair, one transfer window is probably more suitable, and I wouldnt be suprised if it came down to 1.

Either way, I dont think it will effect them too much, they already have a massively deep squad, and it will give them time to build together. Pressure is now on Ancelotti to keep everyone though

^ and if im going to start getting defensive in a manner suitable to respond to madferrits aids comments: your manager is a gimp, and your team lost to the team that lost to Burnley. ergo, Arsenal and Man U are shite

Just bring in the 5 international maximum immediately please, and also implement some form of salary cap. I live in the dream I know, but I want hypercompetitive European leagues, not 3 horse races every season

what is this because of, and is it similar to carlton's salary cap penalties.

Platini wants to bring something like this in but the big dogs in Europe are too powerful I think. Hopefully Chelsea won't be able to argue their case successfully and this and the Eduardo diving case will set a precident in which FIFA and UEFA don't just let the big clubs have their way all the time.

I'd also like to the Champions League and the Europa League become straight knockout competitions but that's wishful thinking. not when there's all that money to be made...

The salary cap only works in US sports leagues because the leagues have been around as long as the clubs and have lots of money and power (TV contracts, advertising, merchandising, etc). Pretty much the reverse is true in European football.

Anyway it's international week this week and hopefully this time next week england will have sealed their place in South Africa for next years World Cup :D

Jimmy Glass scoring for Carlisle is legend.

Needing to win to stay in the footall league, 10 seconds left, score at 1-1, Glass scores a cracker off a corner to down plymouth argyle 2-1.

Adding to the controversy, Glass was on loan at Carlisle and was signed after the transfer deadline. He was signed an a special exemption that saw all of their specialist goalkeepers with injuries.

Robinsons as a great header. One any striker would be proud of (and an acheviment for a player who would have no real reason in a game to use their head).

I would still rate Glass's a better goal because of the situation and its significance, but I always liked Robinson as a keeper (shame what happened to him).

Clearly Argentina's glaring weakness coming into World Cup qualifying was the lack of hookers and blow...that's why they brought in Maradona, right? How could things be going so wrong?
