Aside from Alanis, this "concert" is showcasing the worst of Canadian "talent." Sorry, world.

Don't worry, it's mostly Canadians posting here - I think the rest of the world changed channels!

Shouldn't this technically be a family show? Singing about playboy and being a star?!

Oh my god this is awful.

Thank god! They shouldn't be subjected to all of this.

The event was great up until the "concerts" started.

ETA - and I've started to make my dinner, rather than pay attention to this.

The sequence of events of the last three minutes:

Announcer: "And now from Montreal, Quebec, Marie Mai!"

Canadian men: "Who???"

Marie Mai: (first few words of song)

Canadian men: "Whoa."

k-os could have gone with a much better song, ie "Heaven Only Knows" or "Crabbuckit". He's actually really good live in a club.

Wow. Sorry, world. And that's coming from someone who thoroughly enjoyed the opening ceremonies.

To me, Neil Young far outweighed any of the crap that came after.

It's just a shame that he was the one highlight when we have so much more to offer.

Yes, it seemed like we went our 'biggest' artists, instead of our best ones

Anyway, we must keep reminding ourselves -

WE WON GOLD TODAY!!!!!

I saw an interview with Harper last night. I'm so far left of Harper it's not even funny, but he seemed so human in this interview. He said that Canadians are inherently patriotic, we're just not demonstrative about it...and I agree. Thanks to all the athletes and everyone involved for giving me to opportunity to be demonstrative.
