I trust this is the proper forum for this topic?

Anyway, long and tough match for Venus tonight but she pulled through in the end. Roddick's match is starting at 11 p.m. EST! I absolutely love night tennis at the U.S. Open.

I'm hoping that Kim Clijsters wins. I think she has a pretty good chance but Venus and Serena are favorites of course.

^yeah I saw that too. That was so great. I still can't believe it, that she's only 17.

Yeah!

Out goes Li'l Hewy! Still thinks he can crack the Top 10, he's just been parphrasing the same words after losing in the other grand slams recently.

Just retire Lleyton. I'm sure most have had enough.

Dent VS Murray, next!
Streets is played as they walk to the court.

Dent is Misty May's cousin, did not know that.

huh, so many Clijsters fans here..I don't like her playing that much. She's like a ball machine LOL!

i'm disgustingly out of the loop. didn't clijisters retire years ago?

Retired to start a family, has 18 month old daughter, got the itch to play again when invited to play under Wimbledon's roof for festivities earlier this year...a couple of warmup tourneys and domination in Flushing. Should be a good match with the better Williams sister Thursday.

She may have lost, but I'm officially a Melanie Oudin fan. I'll be keeping an eye on her progress in the coming years, so to speak.

I caught myself watching tennis tonight...with a pretty good Yankees game on (always good to pull against them) and the re-air of The Beatles Anthology doc on Vh1...I chose the U.S. Open. Why?

Because of Sweet Caroline.

Pretty girly girls with actual game FTW.

Rain delays rendered Friday nearly a total washout, and the remainder of the Open has been pushed back a day...the conclusion of the Nadal/Gonzalez quarterfinal and the women's semifinals will be played Saturday, the men's semifinals and women's final will be played Sunday, and the men's final will be played on Monday.
