Interesting contrast to the discussion going on in here.
I just read that, then shot him an email about being a Magic diehard since he enjoys trashing the crowd fairly often. I don't blame him, I guess, and I had to talk about seeing Chris Tucker at a game, too.

Peef, you should have quoted what Simmons posted right after that, a fake letter from Kobe:

Q: Come on, if I had stormed off after a tough playoff loss like that, you would have killed me, right? Just admit it.
-- K. Bryant, Los Angeles

SG: (Searching for a comeback.)

***

He knows that's a double standard, and it's his roundabout way of admitting that what LeBitch did was weak.

Or just admitting he irrationally dislikes Kobe.

Yeah, he references this a lot, specifically when he talks about the impact that this playoff run has on Kobe's legacy.

I, meanwhile, rationally hate Kobe.

I'm not a Simmons fan, but I can totally see the appeal of his writing. Something about him just bugs me. It's probably as irrational as what you guys were talking about earlier but, yeah, I just don't really like the guy.

Anyways, I'm pretty excited for this series to start up. If Pau and Lamar play their game like we all know they can...it should be all good.

simmons is a putz who should stick to being funny and not try to be taken seriously as a basketball mind, 'cause he's not.

old school move? what, did magic ever not shake larry's hand? even the bulls and knicks and knicks and heat shook hands, and lebron didn't take a fraction of the abuse that was handed out in those serieses. the only time on record of it happening before were the pistons who are still vilified over it. this idea that it's "old school" to walk off the court without shaking hands after a playoff series is ludicrous.

this is also ludacris

but i digress.

This shit is crazy. I guess he just recorded it a couple days ago or somethin. Stephen A. and LeBron are on the track.

YouTube - Lil Wayne - Kobe Bryant

Jameer has 3 assists, a bucket, and a steal in his first three minutes.

Probably the best Big 5 player of my lifetime. He was fun to watch.

Not as impressive.

i didn't watch the second half because it was already like 10:30 by the time it started and a brotha needs to sleep...

i have this question... did van gundy rock with jameer nelson again in the second half? because he went with him for waaaaaay too long in the 2nd quarter. he provided an instant spark but then clearly wasn't up to speed and the magic's offense slowed to a grinding hault. his staying with nelson is what allowed LA to come back, take the lead, and push it out to 10+ points.

apparently they blew it open in the 2nd half, but alas, i was sleeping.
