HOT FUCKING STOVE

The Phillies still need a third baseman (platoon of Young and Frandsen looks most likely) and a power bat for a corner outfield position. That will either be Cody Ross or Nick Swisher. I hope it's Ross.

I have no idea why the Sox aren't trying to keep Ross. He was one of the best players on the team last year and is a great clubhouse guy.

Word on the street is that they want to trade Ellsbury before signing Ross. I don't understand what the hell is happening in Boston, so let me know if that makes no sense.

Boston just kinda imploded. And the East has gotten a lot better around them over the last half a decade. They might be in a bit of trouble for awhile.

The Cubs have hired Jim Deshaies as their new color guy. He's been doing Astros games for a while, and apparently is a very well-liked and entertaining announcer.

I was hoping they would hire bono_212, but it was not meant to be.
They likely would have hired bono_212 if bono_212 had even been aware that Bob Brenly LEFT the Cubs (bastard), but bono_212 has really been bad about keeping up-to-date on news lately and had no idea that the position was even opened until it had been filled .

I loved Bob. I'm sure this guy will be fun.
