I'll miss Crazy Legs Neshek. He's got one of those ridiculous deliveries that is just entertaining as hell to watch.

You Phillistines or whatever citizens from Philly are called are weird...Bostonians, New Yorkers, Chicagoans and even oddball Californians all use porn, or at least Glamour magazine.

They really are basically paying him nothing. If he sucks they cut him, end of story. It really is a no-risk move.

And it still sucks. I'm guessing they're absolutely maxed out and couldn't really spend on a more viable guy, and/or they really DO have faith that Utley will recover and didn't want to spend on a 2B when they'll only need him for a month. But I still think they'd have been better off finding the cheapest "all glove" infielder they could find, rather than rolling the dice with Castillo, who probably can't hit and is pretty much brutal defensively.

Let's try this again...I think he'd look fabulous in pinstripes.

He's only being signed to back up anyway. Wilson Valdez is going to start at 2B assuming Polanco's elbow is fine (which it looks like it will be).

luis castillo reported to phillies camp a day late, and couldn't participate on that day because he hadn't taken his physical yet

Look out, Boston. Kevin Millwood is taking his talents to the Bronx. CC, Burnett, Hughes, Nova, and the three headed Colon/Garcia/Millwood monster? Suddenly the Phillies' rotation looks like complete dog shit. These guys might break the single season wins record.

Milldew! I didn't know he was even still around. Suddenly I feel better about Luis Castillo.

In 2008 we were underdogs. In 2011 we are underachievers. I hate everything.

Looking forward to reading this quote again when the season is over. I guess we could call this one "Vintage Peef". Yeah, baby, can you feel it? Woo!

Less than 4 days until Opening Day. Looking forward to kicking this MLB Offseason thread to the curb and starting the 2011 regular season.
