Wow, the Angels front office is even more stupid than I thought. Wells has probably one of the 10 worst contracts in all of baseball.

I wonder if they would take A-Rod for Mike Trout.

Maybe they'd take Lackey back for Trout.

Manny Ramirez and Johnny Damon are sort of the washed up version of Lebron James and Dwyane Wade.

Hopefully we get to see Manny cutting off Damon's throw again.

I couldn't be more thrilled for them, and I hope Joe Maddon puts them both in the outfield every game.

So... why does Tampa dump it's players. And then dip into the FA market?

Because they're paying Manny and Damon dog food ($7.25 MM worth for the year combined).

Which, on Tampa Bay Rays amounts, could've payed for an important piece such as Garza.

The Rays had something of a logjam at SP. They didn't need Garza. And they got a good return.

No doubt they got a good return.

I'm just willing to bet they wont be a true competitor this season like they've been over the past few years.

Just my opinion.

If this is true, I doubt it'll have much to do with their starting pitching.
