well, it is a little better than the current system

College football will finally have a playoff. Come 2014, the BCS is dead.

A committee of university presidents today approved the BCS commissioners' plan for a four-team playoff to start in the 2014 season.

The move completes a six-month process in which the commissioners have been working on a new way to determine a major college football champion. Instead of simply matching the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the country in a championship game after the regular season, the way the Bowl Championship Series has done since 1998, the new format will create a pair of national semifinals. No. 1 will play No. 4, No. 2 will play No. 3.

The winners will advance to the championship.

This is fucking ridiculous, but what do you expect from college football? I'll just continue to enjoy the regular season and be disappointed in December/January.

Four weeks away guys!

Here are some of the better Week 1 matchups:

Navy vs Notre Dame (from Ireland)
Washington St. at BYU (Thur)
Boise State at Michigan St. (Fri)
NC State vs Tennessee (Atlanta)
Southern Miss at Nebraska
Auburn vs Clemson (Atlanta)
Alabama vs Michigan (Jerry World)
San Diego St at Washington
Hawaii at USC
SMU at Baylor (Sun)
Kentucky at Louisville (Sun)
Georgia Tech at Virginia Tech (Mon)

What about Grambling State @ TCU

Haha, you know what, I actually noticed TCU has a bye for Week 1. That seems pretty unusual.

Also they have a killer (awesome) schedule now that they are in the Big 12.

Their last 5 games are

Oklahoma State
West Virginia
Kansas State
Texas
Oklahoma

Yeah, in all seriousness, it starts slow, but it's going to be quite the season if we really are who they say we are.

Also, in my time following TCU this is the second season we've started with a bye, as I recall.

I won't say it I won't say it I won't say it....

Honey badger don't care. Honey badger don't give a shit.

FUCK

could it be, that LSU is taking a note from Penn State and taking decisive action now to avoid paying a much higher price later

I imagine a lot of schools will not be letting as much stuff slide these days.
