This is to all you Baseball fans - last year I was looking through the odds on the World Series and was going to bet $100.00 on Tampa Bay to NOT win the series BUT get into the series. It was 65 to 1 which means I would have won $ 6500.00!!!! I should never have listened to a "friend" who scoffed at the pick and talked me out of it. Damn. Anyway, anyone here got any longshot predictions? Is there a Tampa Bay's of 2009 out there anywhere? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

If Greinke continues pitching out of his mind, I wouldn't be surprise to see the upstart Kansas City Royals make some noise.

Don't count out the repeat.

I'm not sure if I would call the Cubs or the Phillies a "longshot"

I'm pretty sure everyone in the world picked the Cubs to at least win their division...which I personally think they will do. And the Phillies are returning practically their entire roster from a World Series championship team. So, yeah...not "longshots." But I admire your guys' loyalty.

What about the Blow Jays?

Toronto has only played 4 games in the AL East so far, 3 against the Oreos and one against New York, so their record is a bit inflated right now. Doesn't look like a good bet to me.

i think the Brewers have a legitimate chance. no, their pitching isn't spectacular, but if Parra keeps improving, him and Gallardo would make a strong 1-2 punch at the top of the rotation. if the other starters can go .500, then the Brew Crew are prime to make some noise.

did i mention that they league the NL in home runs?
