Don't act as if the Pies and Blues didn't take Geelong down to the final siren. Finals are single elimination, and sides have off weeks...we haven't looked this shit all year, and it happened to come at an awful time: against a really strong team. When it comes down to it, there are at least three teams out there with the firepower to beat Geelong when it counts.

But, by all means, enjoy the win over Adelaide. Wish I could enjoy a win this week myself.

I may have fucked up on that Port Pick, and I realize Brisbane blew it, but I really was just that confident West Coast was going to win last night. No idea why, except that it just seemed for the last few weeks they've been headed in the direction of doing something as fuckmazing as what they did last night. In fact, I was so confident, had I had the money or ability to do so (I'm not sure if I can do that betting thing not being in Australia),I seriously would've put money on that game. Then of course, my luck being, they WOULD have lost.

Justin Sherman has copped four weeks for racially vilifying a GC player and will "donate" $5k to a charity. Should have been more and I'm already rolling my eyes reading the "can't people take a joke/people are soft these days/get over it" comments.

Also at the Inverleigh/Belmont game I was at on the weekend, society broke down. There was a woman, she and her family looked Aboriginal. (do you capitalise that word?) And she was carrying her kid, couldn't have been older than two, when she started yelling, "fucking come here cunt! I'll knock ya fucking head off!" to someone else. About 10 minutes later she started punching on with some blokes who must have been baiting her. She was escorted from the ground. How do you become a type of person who will swear and fight not only with your kids well in earshot but in front of every spectator and player?

I don't know exactly how the player (Wilkinson was it?) reacted but if I was in his position I would have no second thoughts in knocking his head off his neck. It would be drastic, yes, but that's how seriously I would take such an insult.
