Was well looking forward to seeing the world cup come to England, would have been out of this world

Russia will be interesting I suppose. That's no consolation though. FIFA

Now that's an overstatement.

I SO would've lost money on that. At least it's not U.A.E. where you don't have to be a king to afford a hotel stay

Benelux would have been too good to be true. In the end they always choose for the money which is a pity.
England would have been cool too but I think the BBC ruined their chances.

‎1st round: England 2 votes, Netherlands/Belgium 4 votes, Spain/Portugal 7 votes and Russia 9 votes

2nd round: Netherlands/Belgium 2 votes, Spain/Portugal 7 votes and Russia 13 votes

So Netherlands/Belgium gets 4 votes in the first round then two of the delegates decide to change their vote and give it to someone else in the next round??? Tactical voting? What a joke organisation.

I wonder how many of the votes actually get bought.

Apparently Australia only got one vote. I think they would have done an ace job. It's all about the $$$

Can we all at least be happy that Brazil is hosting the next one?

i'm down with that

i guess i'm one of the few (if not the only one) who thinks qatar hosting it is going to be cool (no weather pun intended) if they can get those stadiums built.

i'll be watching it from my tv in my living room with the a/c going, i don't really care how hot it will be over there

All the bookies had Qatar as favorites; they clearly knew something.

I'd like to see odds on "Qatar bid falls apart and USA is awarded bid in March 2022" though.
