Excited for The Raconteurs! Due to how the sale went down, I also have a ticket for the Raconteurs the night before at Hammerstein Ballroom (1st Balcony GA seated) available, if anyone is interested, I wanted Brooklyn since the venue is just a mile from home. Also finally picked up a Billy Joel ticket, been meaning to go to a show for ages now, and I got that classics mini-series going on this year, lol.

A couple more cheap or free shows:

Also swapped my May 31 Bikini Kill ticket for their June 5th show, still Brooklyn but different venue a mile from home.

Well, well, well - after previously being denied in the two Verified Fan signups for Madonna, I scored a $50 seat easily in the general sale this morning, they would have gotten more money from me in the presale, lol. Oh and I did crack for those Irish guys, so Guy is getting his 10% from me on both ends.

September 24 - Madonna, Brooklyn
December 4 - U2, Tokyo
December 5 - U2, Tokyo

I'm only seeing one concert this year so far, but it's a fuckin doozy:

8/10 - Carly Rae Jepsen @ The Wiltern

Floor tickets

October 30 - a-ha in Belfast

Both of these new additions happened thanks to a little too much wine.

I've been waiting to see if a-ha would ever come back to the US, but then I was like "Why not go to them?" Dublin was sold out, but I've never been to Belfast, so yay!

Peef, Future islands is conveniently playing that show the day I’m headed from dc to New York. Made to be.

You've got quite a cool, and long list! That was like me back in the 70's and 80's!

Money issues have mostly taken me away from shows over the past 20 yrs. My sib lends me $ for U2. Occasionally i have seen other free shows when it's not too hot and :( humid.
I know most of these relatively more recent performers through free-form radio and WFUVFM (nyc- fordham uni)
Fatherhood is affecting my concert-going habits, but I have a few things I'm looking forward to:

April 22nd - A Special Evening With The National, NYC
May 17th - Broken Social Scene, NYC
June 12th - The National (with Courtney Barnett), NYC
You're a dad now! Congrats!
I wrnt to hear the National live (i could hear hem in Central Park) back in 2007.

You ended up with a nice list. Saw EJ several times back in the 70's. Great shows! Have a great time in Belfast!

My one definite show is The Who at MSG this Sunday! :hyper:
Seen them since 1968 this year ww- the very first show was the last time they wore power-pop stage clothes!
My most favorite shows of theirs have been Tommy at the  Filmore East, Who's Next  at Forest Hills Stadium both nights '71!, a ?'79 MSG show were Pete played one of the most amazing one-off (vs a solo within a known song) guitar solos I ever heard him play! The '89 tour at Giants Std, and heard them from outside FHTS in 2015. Still sounded great.

( U2 eventually joined my top ?5 pantheon of ultra favorite bands - of which The Who were the comparison, in terms of passion, talent, live performances [anthemic ftw] ! ) :D

After an extremely slow year (and ultimately deciding to miss the Stones because of how expensive it was), I went to a concert last weekend.

August 30 - J Balvin @ Coliseo de Puerto Rico (Hato Rey, PR)

I miss going to concerts frequently. :sigh:
