Your 2017 Concert Calendar

There's got to be something to look forward to next year, right?

January 6--Fu Manchu
January 13--Lord Huron
January 28--LA Opera:The Abduction from the Seraglio
February 17--Galactic
February 18--LA Opera: Salome
February 24--Moon Duo
March 25--LA Opera: The Tales of Hoffmann
April 22--LA Opera: Tosca
June 29--Nick Cave

That's a good start.

Have a couple in the hopper already for next year, I am sure there will be many more, most likely particularly in the fall...

February 15 - Red Hot Chili Peppers, NYC
July 28-30 - Panorama Festival, NYC (Artists TBA)

Yeah, I already sprung for Panorama again, the super duper early bird was a good deal and I am fairly confident there will be at least one headliner (cough, Radiohead, cough) that will be a must see for me. Currently keeping an eye out for when the Rock Hall Induction takes place and when tix go on sale...

I have quite a few lined up (all in Brisbane unless otherwise noted) -

10 Jan - Lloyd Cole
14 Feb - Bruce Springsteen
17 Feb - Shinee (Osaka)
05 March - Adele
25 March - Dixie Chicks
12 April - Bonnie Raitt
08 May - Green Day
02 June - Robbie Williams (Manchester)
03 June - Robbie Williams (Manchester)
06 June - Take That (London - VIP)
07 June - Take That (London)
14 June - Bruno Mars (Geneva)
28 July - Little Mix

Also had a ticket to see Barry Gibb - however he axed his tour.

I'll probably add a few more shows in the UK/Europe in early-mid June.

Thanks, U2! Now I have more to add. Will this be it for me in 2017? Hopefully not if Elbow announces a US tour and comes out this way. I won't hold my breath.

May 11 - Tanya Tagaaq
May 12 - U2 (Vancouver)
May 14 - U2 (Seattle)

2016 was a rather disgraceful concert-going year for me (as in, I've barely seen any), so hopefully this year improves.

21 Jan - PJ Harvey
4 May - Hans Zimmer

I saw her perform a live soundtrack to Nanook of the North last year, and I was mesmerized.

I can't sit down and actually listen to her CDs, it's too weird for that kind of listening for me, but she is FASCINATING live. I've never been so viscerally impacted by a live performance before. Literally was on the edge of my seat.
