Let's do this.

January 20--Europa Galante
January 30-- LA Master Chorale: Verdi's Requiem
February 11--Super Furry Animals
February 13--San Diego Opera: Tosca
March 12--LA Opera: Madame Butterfly
May 11--Philharmonia Baroque: Handel and Part
May 22--The Who (rescheduled from September)

Next year is starting to take shape. :)

2015 flew by really fast. Only have two shows lined up, but at least it gives me time to save some money.

January 27 & 28 - Madonna - Coliseo de Puerto Rico, San Juan

:hyper:

Slow start as usual:

January 27 - Muse, Brooklyn
June 3-5 - Governors Ball Music Festival (Artists TBA), NYC

Hopefully will score next week for Springsteen on 1/24 at MSG, and did I just read that an announcement of Pearl Jam dates may also be imminent? Also I expect at least Coldplay and The Killers at some point (although I also expect at least one of PJ, Coldplay or Killers to do Governors Ball). Perhaps even Radiohead later in the year if they get things together quickly. Oh and those Irish boys later in the year as well. So things will be picking up, also as usual. :)

So far:

01/21 - Torres at Bowery Ballroom
01/27 - Addi & Jacq at The Green Space
03/05 - Steven Wilson at Beacon Theatre
03/28 - Savages at Irving Plaza
04/02 - Wolf Alice at Irving Plaza
06/03 - Governors Ball

January 4 - Patti Smith
March 6 - Aoife O'Donovan
April 14 - Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, and Trombone Shorty
July 8 - Dixie Chicks

So yep, got a ticket:

January 24 - Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, NYC

April 6 - Tanya Tagaq
April 14 - Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, and Trombone Shorty

I'm super psyched to see Tanya Tagaq. She's doing some sort of musical thing in conjunction with a showing of Nanook of the North.

She's fascinating and fucking terrifying. I can't wait.

Looks like I will be hitting two home fests this year- Panorama fest was announced for July - 99.99% sure LCD Soundsystem will be a headliner, so that will be a must go for me. Also still waiting on Pearl Jam dates, although them being another Panorama headliner is not out of the question...

So apparently there's CHVRCHES show on March 13th at Chicago and as I'm in Midwest, I really wanna go there. Should I book a ticket without inviting friends or should I frantically send Facebook messages to people who seem to like synth pop?

Going to gigs with others is usually better, but don't look desperate or anything. Even if you go by yourself, you can meet new people and have some fun conversations if you're feeling sociable.

I understand that some people are less comfortable going to or doing things on their own, but I strongly encourage those people to give it a try (more than once), because it is a downright damned shame to miss out on stuff because you don't want to go alone. Whether it's going out to eat, going to a movie, going to a concert, or traveling.

So buy a ticket, Mack.

I go to plenty of concerts by myself when my wife is working late or just doesn't want to go. It's fine.

I guess it's time to update the list:

February 6 - Wilco
March 15 - Beach House
March 25 - Carly Rae Jepsen (although I'll need to get a ticket on the secondary market)
April 4 - Wolf Alice
June 15 - Tame Impala

I might also go to Grimes/Florence and the Machine, mainly for Grimes. But it's in a huge arena, so I'm still deciding.
