Ahhh!! So many bands are going on tour next year! Which ones will you be seeing?

On my agenda once these people announce their US tour dates are:

Bruce Springsteen (will be my first time seeing him!)
Florence and the Machine
Coldplay
Snow Patrol

I'll add more soon.

These are all the announced shows I want to see so far:

01/19 – Cults at Webster Hall
02/06 – Gotye at Bowery Ballroom
02/25 – Sharon Van Etten at Bowery Ballroom
03/22 – Kasabian at Terminal 5
04/01 – Wild Flag at Webster Hall

I haven't been to see a band or artist in years... so I'd have to venture that my 2012 tour calendar is... NOTHING!!!!:hyper:

My 2012 concert calendar will definitely be scaled back, after seeing 5 concerts in 2011 (my personal best!), mostly because of commitments and such. But artists/bands I want, and would really love to see on tour next year (and that I don't have to fly to the U.S. to see them!) are the following:

Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Madonna (A must!)
Coldplay (A must!)
RUSH (If they go on tour with new album + rumors of playing 2112 in it's entirety)
The Rolling Stones (If they ever do a 50th anniversary tour..)

I'm pretty sure there are a few others, but can't think of them.

Florence on the 20th May. Hopefully this coming year will be a bit more exciting, I've only been to one gig this year.

Epic phail is epic.

Jan. 8 - Dresden Dolls
Jan. 15 - PJ Harvey
Jan. 16 - PJ Harvey
Jan. 20 - Beth Orton
Feb. 2 - Laura Marling
Feb. 4 - Laneway Festival (Feist, Anna Calvi, The Horrors, Laura Marling)
Mar. 21 - Elbow
May 20 - Florence + The Machine

So Far:

Black Keys - 3/12/12
Roger Waters - 6/29/12
Coldplay - 8/3/12
Rush tba
The Airborne Toxic Event tba

I'd say the year starts out well:

January 25 - The Kills
February 3 - Zola Jesus
March 7 - Radiohead
April 5 - Childish Gambino
May 18 - M83

Plus plenty of SXSW peppered in there.

The year 2012 hasn't started yet, but concert wise it's already looking to be a great year! Many great acts are visiting the Netherlands in the first part of the year. This is my fun-list for now:

16 February: Admiral Freebee, Paradijskerk, Rotterdam
19 February: Gavin Friday, Paradiso, Amsterdam ( )
5 March: The Jayhawks, Tivoli, Utrecht ( :) )
10 March: Randy Newman, Vredenburg, Utrecht
17 March: The Waterboys, Vredenburg, Utrecht ( )
4 April: Kyteman, Tivoli, Utrecht
5 June: Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Melkweg, Amsterdam ( )
26 June: Pearl Jam, Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam ( :hyper: )
27 June: Pearl Jam, Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam ( )

Looking good, if I say so myself.

2012 very quiet at the moment, after this years efforts I'm happy to thottle back (will be 64 gigs this year come New Years Eve) -

Noel Gallagher, O2 Feb 26 & Edinburgh July
Kaiser Chiefs, Guildford & Hammersmith (maybe, not fussed about going really)

All manner of carnage will kick in once Lady Gaga & Madonna announce their tours though. Priority is Gaga in New York. Will be doing some of Kasabian's stadium shows (once announced) and might do Springsteen at Hyde Park.

Have a few lined up so far:

February 27 - Radiohead, Miami
March 12 - The Black Keys, NYC
March 22 - Kasabian, NYC
August 3 - Coldplay, New Jersey

Looking forward to an active and varied year. :)

Nothing set it stone so far, but these shows might happen if I "raise" enough money to book a flight to Miami and pay for concert tickets:

15 June - Roger Waters - Fort Lauderdale - BankAtlantic Center
29 June - Coldplay - AmericanAirlines Arena - Miami

For now, it's my wish list, but I hope I go back to FL this summer, if all the "negotiating" works out.

Lost my fucking shit and immediately started looking to book a flight when I saw that Pearl Jam and Springsteen were both playing this years isle of wight festival. Excitedly told my fiance of these plans, who then reminded me that the date of the festival just happened to be the same weekend of our wedding.

Yup... sorry ed and bruce.

Decided to add a side of Lenny to my Radiohead during my four days in Miami:

February 25 - Lenny Kravitz, Miami Beach

Have a few lined up so far:

February 27 - Radiohead, Miami
March 12 - The Black Keys, NYC
March 22 - Kasabian, NYC
August 3 - Coldplay, New Jersey

Looking forward to an active and varied year. :)

So ... she's not up for getting married in England at a Springsteen show? I bet Bruce would do the honors himself!
