If the LA Master Chorale is going to send me emails offering 50% off a ticket I was thinking about buying anyway, what am I supposed to do?

They're performing Bach's St. John Passion with Musica Angelica and it's going to be fabulous. I saw these two ensembles perform the St. Matthew Passion a few years ago and it was stunning. I'm excited.

And if I get tickets to see Jack White on Friday morning, I'll be even happier.

Missed Kasabian because I got unnecessarily and irresponsibly trashed pretty much all weekend and left all my schoolwork until Sunday night :(

Whatever. I'm a cardboard cutout fan anyways.

Seeing Jim Adkins (from Jimmy Eat World) do a solo acoustic show this weekend. :hyper:

Then the Phoenix Symphony performing Beethoven's 7th...

And then Foster the People sometime this summer with someone I hardly know. Should be good times.

3/9 - Radiohead
5/4 - My Morning Jacket, Florence + the Machine
5/17 - St. Vincent w/ Shearwater
5/19 - Wilco

And hopefully Coachella, weekend 1, if I can make that happen!

Just got back from OneRepublic. Eh, I expected better. I'm spoiled with good concerts though. Two interesting notes though:

1) Before "Stop and Stare" they snippeted With or Without You. Very pleasant surprise, although it was eh at best.

2) Since I went alone because my elitist friends laugh at my musical tastes, I was devoted a song by Ryan Tedder. He asked everyone who came alone to raise there hand and I was like... 1 of 5 people (or at least 1 of 5 who was not ashamed to raise their hand).

Here's the WOWY snippet -

OneRepublic - "With or Without You" + "Stop & Stare" (Live) at House of Blues Orlando - YouTube

Next up, The Naked and Famous. I have very, very high hopes for them.

Garbage - April 10th - El Rey Theater
Arctic Monkeys - April 11th - Glasshouse
Coachella- April 13, 14, 15 - Indio
The Drums - May 14th - El Rey Theater
Jack White - May 31st - Wiltern
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Aug 14th- Staples Center

Jack White sold out super fast.

The week of Coachella is going to test my endurance. Two weeknight shows, then 3 days of festival. I hope I survive.

Okay so RHCP was great, but I'm still a little upset of the lack of GA and the fact that my entire section was seated for the entire show including the encore. I fear it's going to be the same venue and the same shit hampering Coldplay in June. But yeah, seven years in the making. They were awesome. Didn't play Parallel Universe, Snow, Breaking the Girl, or a couple of other songs I would've really liked to see though. But damn, Flea... Flea that man can play.

As usual here's the goodies if anyone does actually watch these:

Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Can't Stop" (Live) at the Tampa Times Forum - YouTube

Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Under the Bridge" (Live) at the Tampa Times Forum - YouTube

3/9 - Radiohead
4/13-15 - Coachella
5/4 - My Morning Jacket, Florence + the Machine
5/5 - Son Volt, Cold War Kids, Al Green, Jane's Addiction

Is it weird that I've started using this thread as an actual calendar to refer to so I know when my concerts are?

Welcome to the list, Two Door Cinema Club.

I looked at the list of band's on the warped tour, and I think there are only like three I've ever heard of. I wasn't going to go, I haven't bothered with the warped tour since the tenth anniversary show or the year after, but wow...who the fuck are these people? Most of them have ridiculous names like I fight dragons, none of which I'm really curious to hear.

Lostprophets are really good. Taking Back Sunday is okay I guess... and New Found Glory is pretty damn good. Basically all I'm going for. For $35 though... can't argue. Cheap festival cost.

Taking back Sunday are terrible, and the only love I have for nfg is the nostalgia of the self titled album from eight grade, which I've already taken care of by going to see them on the anniversary tour they did a year or two ago where they played the whole thing. To be honest, if they have other music I've never heard it, and my friends and I left as soon as ballad for the lost romantics was over. But I think those two and streetlight manifesto, plus maybe one other band, were the only ones I've heard of.
