Your 2009 concert calendar

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
oh you definitely should see them whenever you get the opportunity! They are my absolute favorite live act aside from U2. Full of energy and great fun. I know they are playing some shows in Canada in September and their own headlining show in Hollywood at the Palladium in late august, a couple of days after the greenday show.:applaud:

I will keep my eye out in case they come back to Vegas

 vegas!! I'll probably see you there whenever that happens :) Actually my absolute favorite time seeing them was at The Joint at the hard rock casino in 2005

 I love the Joint..seeing No Doubt there soon. They've completely redone it (still kicking myself for not seeing McCartney there right after it reopened)

Disco, that's cool..I actually bought a Ticket Stub diary recently. I have saved most of them although I lost a few from the 80's, some of my first shows.

Just one so far...

January 25 - The Killers, NYC

Add shows:

February 10 - Razorlight, NYC
April 29 - Peter Bjorn & John, NYC

Alright, in for Springsteen! May 4 at Nassau Coliseum.

I am never, ever, buying Razorlight tickets again, twice I have bought tickets and twice I have missed the show...first time because my mom was critically ill in the hospital, and the second time I was in the hospital! But I am a lot better and plan to do PB&J and Springsteen, although I had to bag my plan to see U2 in Europe this summer. But, I will also see these... :D

June 8 - The Hold Steady, NYC
August 2 - All Points West Festival (Coldplay, Echo & the Bunnymen, Silversun Pickups, and more...), Liberty State Park, NJ

September 24 - U2 (and Muse!), NJ
September 25 - U2 (and Muse!), NJ
October 28 - U2, Vancouver

:hyper:

I ended up bagging Springsteen at Nassau since it was going to be too late a night for a Monday for me at that point. Have regained a lot of my stamina in the past month though. Add to my concert schedule:

June 12 - Eddie Vedder at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia
October 3 - Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on October 3rd

Also contemplating seeing Blonde Redhead at a free show here in Brooklyn on June 26 and my secret musical love in South Carolina September 12 but those aren't certain yet. :) (ended up not going/not happening)

OK, add uno mas to the above, just picked up a ticket to Phoenix's show here in NYC on June 19. :)

Great concert year so far, especially since I had to sit out a few months, and I haven't even hit a U2 show yet. :D Anyway, add a couple more shows...

August 26 - NIN (Terminal 5, NYC)
September 16 - Rodrigo Y Gabriela (ditto)

At this point I probably won't be doing much more, or any more, in 2009 unless somebody unexpected goes out or strikes my fancy. 2010 is already getting mapped out in my head though with Muse, Pearl Jam, a lot more U2, my secret musical love, and perhaps Arcade Fire late in the year, all for starters. :)

Updated:

May 18 -- Rock To Recovery: A Benefit for Jay Thomas featuring Social Distortion with The Vandals, Japanese Motors, and The Black Tibetans (awesome evening, the two openers were fantastic)
May 31 -- Graham Colton, Bryan Greenberg, Curtis Peoples
Aug. 1 -- No Doubt, Paramore, The Sounds
Sept. 17 -- Blink-182, Weezer, Taking Back Sunday, Asher Roth
Oct. 25 -- U2, Black Eyed Peas

No Doubt was amazing!!! What are the chances U2 would take them out on the road again next year?

Adding in The Beatles Love on Aug. 22.

Roosbeef certainly is! Her album is one of the best albums of 2009 for me.
So, are you also living in Utrecht (since you saw her in Tivoli)?

Room Eleven

I was chatting to the singer a while ago (beginning of this year) :shifty:, but I only found out who she was a few days later. :uhoh:

Things have been pretty quiet for me this year, but I've got a few shows coming up:

Wilco, UIC Pavilion, Chicago, 10/18 & 10/19
Sonic Youth, Wilbur Theatre, Boston, 11/22

I'm getting on a plane for the first time in seven years for those Wilco shows, since that was the only way I could make it to both nights :uhoh:

I also had a little chat with her, only after a concert so I knew who she was :)

And yeah, I live in Utrecht (Overvecht). Best place to live in The Netherlands, concertwise. Every important venue in no more than one hour drive. Did you know that Roos (from Roosbeef) also lives in Utrecht since this year?

Yeah, I know. :)
I think someone else connected to her lives around the corner or so. I see her band van being parked there now and then.

BTW, living in Zuilen.
