Have you ever done this?

Some people believe our lives are profoundly influenced by whatever pop song was #1 on the day we were born.

On the day Heather Mills (the ex Mrs McCartney) was born (12th Jan 1968) it was Hello Goodbye by The Beatles!

My number #1's are:
'You're So Vain' by Carly Simon in the US
'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' by Little Jimmy Osmond in the UK
'Ben' by Michael Jackson in Australia

See which songs you get
This day in Music

Apperently 'Dancing In The Street' by David Bowie & Mick Jagger was #1 on the day I was born.

Did that have any influence on how I turned out?

Probably.

UK: Summer Nights - John Travolta & Olivia Newton John
US: MacArthur Park - Donna Summer
AUS: Three Times A Lady – The Commodores

Mehhh! Out of those, I only know Summer Nights. I'm not a big fan of the song but I do love warm summer nights.:wink:

That's great fun:

UK: Bay City Rollers - Give A Little Love
US: Eagles - One Of These Nights
Australia: Bay City Rollers - Bye Bye Baby

Ah yes, those were the seventies.

Nice combination

USA: "Centerfold" - J. Geils Band
UK: "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" - Tight Fit
Aus: "Tainted Love" - Soft Cell

Wow I bought some of those #1 records when they were released that some of you were born to.. thanks a lot!

US - Quarter To Three - U.S. Bonds

UK - Runaway - Del Shannon

AUS - Travelin’ Man - Ricky Nelson

March 12, 1986

UK - Diana Ross - "Chain Reaction"
US - Starship - "Sara"
AUS - Dianne Warwick - "That's What Friends Are For"

The Tears Of A Clown - Smokey Robinson & The Miracles

Probably describes my Dad when he noticed that I had red hair, yet neither of my parents have read hair.....and neither of their parents have read hair.

Hilariously sexually confused?

I got "Rush Rush" by Paula Abdul, which is the musical equivalent of Charlie Brown getting a rock for Halloween.

UK: Ferry Aid - Let It Be
US: Starship - Nothin's Gonna Stop Us
AUS: George Michael and Aretha Franklin - I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)

These two posts make me feel old and I don't like it. Shut up, both of you.

And FYI - that Starship song may just be the worst song of all time. Ever. I would rather listen to, I dunno, maybe Paula Abdul's "Rush Rush" than that song.

UK: The Simpsons - Do The Bartman
US: C&C Music Factory - Gonna Make You Sweat
AUS: The Divinyls - I Touch Myself

Good Lord.
