Fucking hell. I forgot In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, Ziggy Stardust and The Queen is Dead. They can replace FR, BP and Radiohead.

Here's 10 I don't think made any of my top 20 or 50 lists we've done previously. But I enjoy them just as much when I do play them.

No particular order:

Elvis Costello & the Attractions - Get Happy!
Kinks - Schoolboys in Disgrace
Jethro Tull - Stand Up
Genesis - Nursery Cryme
Mutemath - S/T
Ten Years After - A Space in Time
Strawbs - Hero & Heroine
Edgar Winter's White Trash - Roadwork
Neil Young - Harvest
Mott the Hoople - Mott

That thread title really needs to be changed from Listmania to Lisztomania. It's too perfect. Maybe Phoenix were lurking?

2. U2 - Achtung
3. U2 - JT
4. Radiohead - In Rainbows

Why didn't I take part in that? I don't even remember it happening.

I'll give a retroactive  to Cori for including In My Tribe. Fucking love that album.

Ugh. I hate the list I submitted. Hate it. This is what happens when you run through 100-150 albums in less than a year. THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS.

Alligator is now in my top three, and I don't have any of THE NASH! represented in my list. Fuck.

 I was also expecting something about the 'Du since you included Sugar.

I was leaning towards putting a Pixies album on there, since they've been a pretty big part of my music life, hence the screenname and all, but I think they've probably slipped underneath a bit, even though I still think all their albums are good to varying degrees.

I've been listening to Alligator more or less non-stop in my car the past week. Fuck I love that album so much.

I should probably question any list that leaves me "surprised" when I finish it, but what can I say...

U2 - The Joshua Tree
REM - Life's Rich Pageant
The Sundays - Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic
Jeff Buckley - Grace
Counting Crows - August & Everything After
Simon & Garfunkel - Sounds of Silence
Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy
Wilco - A Ghost Is Born
Kathleen Edwards - Failer
The Spinanes - Strand

There's really not that many albums I can enjoy the whole way through. That one is so fucking good, I can barely stand it. Not even the hipsters I know up here know about The National! It's unbelievable.

Same here, and these people all went apeshit over Frightened Rabbit.

The music scene up here isn't great. So far, we've had:

- Taylor Swift
- Jay-Z
- The Gaslight Anthem
- Third Eye Blind

And Miley Cyrus is the next big one. Fun times.

I have friends that love the shit out of Third Eye Blind. Except "Jumper." No one thinks to defend "Jumper."

When I announced baseball for my high school this year, I was not in control of the music (usually that's my bread and butter). They had a specific pregame routine with tracks picked out by one of the pitchers. Every game, when I arrived ...

"I WOULD UNDERSTAND!"

Holy fuck.

I shouldn't be speaking, either, since I was involved in a band that fucking covered "Never Let You Go." Shit.

Oh late '90s middle-of-the-road dude rock, I'm glad you died.

My one buddy's entire musical taste is composed of that. Blink-182, Third Eye Blind, Sum-41, etc. I said to him once, "All of your music is power chords and shouting about how you're totally gonna get laid this summer." I think is pretty much the summary of all of that.

Did he reply "I WOULD UNDERSTAND?!"

If not, please say that he did. I'd laugh.

Actually he said, "I don't wanna fall in line and become another victim of conformity, and back down." Then his roommate said, "BE," he said, "CAUSE," the roommate said, "YOU," he said, "DON'T." And off they went.

He remember the stupid things, the mood rings...

Kind of unrelated, but I still crack up at the description of the Chili Peppers either writing about California, sex, or sex in California.

It couldn't have pegged them better. Fuck Anthony Kiedis.

I could never hate the man that wrote this:

MAGIC JOHNSON

l.a. lakers fast break makers
kinds of the court shake and bake all takers
back to back is a bad ass fact a claim that remains intact
m-a-g-i-c see you on the court
buck has come to play his way and his way is to thwart
m-a-g-i-c magic of the buck
other teams pray for dreams
but he don't give a fuck
penetrating the lane like a bullet train
comes the magic blood a telepathic brain
knucklehead suckers better duck
when the buck comes through like a truck
scott stops pops and drops it in
on his way back gets a little skin
from the hand of a man named a.c. green
slam so hard break your t.v. screen
worthy's hot with his tomahawk
take it to the hole make your mamma talk
i hate to burst your bubble but triple double trouble
is coming to your town and he's going to make rubble
l.a. lakers fast break makers
kings of the court shake and bake all takers
back to back is a bad ass fact a claim that remains intact
m-a-g-i-c see you in purple and gold
You can swim, but you won't get far so you might as well go home
m-a-g-i-c in buck we trust
Restoring order to the court and justice is a must
lakers are the team that i watch on the telly
cause they got more moves
that a bowl full of jelly
the buck stops here - pops - then cheers
a roar through the forum
that deafens my ears
the one and only know if his kind
sits in a throne
not for the records that he holds
but for being bald and bold
kareem abdul jabbar
all time great super super star
i hate to burst your bubble but triple double trouble
is coming to your town and he's going to make rubble
does anybody want some magic johnson
