Had another long drive today. Time enough to play:

Los Lobos - Good Morning Aztlán

Miles Davis - Birth Of The Cool

The Who - Who's Next

First time listening, and I liked it quite a bit. Roger Daltrey is such a powerful vocalist! I've got a few more of their records I'm going to listen to soon as well.

It just so happens that one of them is. Plus Quadrophenia and My Generation.

Excellent choices.

That goes for Let It Bleed as well, of course.

Second time listening, even better upon second listen.

I don't get why some people don't like this.

First listen to the original version that isn't... Naked.

Listened to that one for the first time. What a beautiful album! Of course I already knew like half the songs. The other half was lovely too! She's Always A Woman =

AND...

I completely forgot that I had this album, as I mentioned in the 60's/70's thread. Imported to itunes today and gave it another listen. What a fucking kickass album! The first 7 songs out of 11 are all 5 stars worthy IMO!

Ain't Talkin Bout Love
