Is it supposed to be over two pages talking only about Cockplay?

Well wasn't there two pages of discussion of Rolling Stones just before that?

The Rolling Stones are worth two pages.

That's the difference.

Has anyone listened to any of the Rolling Stones' remastered albums yet? I checked out a Stones forum and all the die-hards are saying albums like Sticky have been pretty much butchered (i.e. fallen victim to the loudness war).

Problem is, I'm sure the current volume sounded perfectly normal to the band. Notice that remasters by not-so-decrepit bands (eg: THE COCK) don't have this problem.

I'm only sort of kidding. This theory will lose credence when Disintegration is butchered next year.

To quote a great 20th century philosopher: It's not the years, honey, It's the mileage.

the last year that resulted in some great 'alternative' albums was 1996:
Palace Musix - Arise, therefore
Guided by Voices - Alien Lanes
Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Now I got worry

alternative music has been lame ever since

What exactly is "alternative" music? Pretty arbitrary label, no?

"Alternative" has somehow transformed into "indie" music to describe something off the regular beat and path, it seems.

Bad is U2's most overrated song (on Interference). I like it but on TUF alone there are 4 songs that I like more than Bad.
I haven't seen it live in person so I'm talking about studio here.

The studio version as weak as fuck, it's not a stretch to say there are four better songs on the album.

Even if you haven't seen it live, though, any audio of a live version should be enough to understand why it's held in such high regard.

the studio version of bad is simply sleep inducing. the fact that it's so good live makes the studio version seem even worse.

wide awake, bono? bullshit.

it truly astounds me the u2 opinions on this board, it really does.

bad studio is fucking incredible in my opinion. as it is live. the rattle & hum version not only won me over with u2, but can also lay claims to getting me into the stones.
