I was pleased as punch to discover that Blaze of Glory was on the Bon Jovi greatest hits album, even though it was released as a solo.

When I was 13, I wore a Bon Jovi shirt nearly all summer long. It was a very high-quality, cotton-fibre shirt, which I appreciated.

I have their 1st, 3rd and 4th albums, and I'm surprised I don't have the 5th because I like a lot of songs off it. Since then, I've only liked a couple of their songs, most notably It's My Life.

I liked them back in the day. In retrospect, they're kind of cheesy*, and some of their songs have been so overplayed on radio, I can barely listen to them these days (Living On A Prayer, Wanted, I'm looking at you). Otherwise, they're okay in small doses.

I don't really care for their current, countrified sound, but I'm glad for them that they've found their niche, and a way to extend their career.

*which is okay. Music doesn't always have to be serious and intense and meaningful. Sometimes just being fun to listen to is good enough.

Def Leppard

Btw, great idea, Zoots, I'm enjoying this.

Bon Jovi are good rock cheese and I like their big hits. Livin' on a Prayer is one hell of a party song, never fails to get everyone jumping and singing like an idiot,

you wanna hear greatness... you wanna see greatness?

not a cheesy ballad, but an amazing rock song, and their best performance ever

Richie Sambora and Tico Torres are the shit... music power made men

YouTube - Bon Jovi - Keep the Faith live 2001 (Best performance ever)

not every band fills Giant Stadium every damn time they go on tour, you know? (and not just 1 time)

What about the music? I had a Bon Jovi t-shirt too. I loved wearing it all the time!

Btw, didn't we talk about Never Say Goodbye recently? lol. I don't remember how it got brought up.

I have no idea which ones you're talking about! *goes to allmusic.com*

Exactly! Sometimes this forum seems to take music in general too seriously!

Once again you've said something that made me literally laugh out loud! I think the smiley face combined with the word "idiot" did it. You should keep this up in forthcoming UMA threads!

You Give Love a Bad Name reminds me of Barney Stinson

Livin' on a Prayer is a classic

I have no shame in admitting my love for Bon Jovi.

When I was younger, my friends and I made up a dance routine to Bed of Roses. It was pretty dramatic and cheesy, as far as I can remember.

Living on a Prayer, Bed of Roses, and You Give Love a Bad Name are my all time favourites.

Jon =

Yes, I like me some Bon Jovi. There, I said it. I even saw them on tour this past year. Fun show. Keep The Faith Lots of others, but I can't think of them at the moment (other than those listed). Their last album had a few good ones, even the one with Big & Rich: We Got It Going On; (You Want To) Make A Memory, Lost Highway...
