2010 hurts to rehash... too few shows, too many disappointments. All shows in Memphis, except where noted.

1. Simon & Garfunkel, New Orleans Jazz Fest
2. Alex Chilton tribute with Big Star, Sondre Lerche, Mike Mills, Brendan Benson, etc.
3. The New Pornographers w/ the Dodos, Cannery Ballroom, Nashville

:vast dropoff:

Surfer Blood / The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
The Appleseed Cast
Drive-by Truckers
Cold War Kids w/ Cave Singers
Danielson
Allman Brothers Band, New Orleans Jazz Fest
Derek Webb
Magic Kids
The Twilight Sad
Matt Pond PA
Lionel Richie, New Orleans Jazz Fest

I still have one more show this year - Prince this Wednesday, who I expect to be somewhere up there in my top 10, which is why I only put down a top 9

Most disappointing show this year was MGMT.

Not sure where exactly I'd put him, but yep, Prince would be in the top 3, he was the bomb last night!

in no order

U2- Brussels 2- in the pouring rain, in the gold circle and a surprise rendition of Bad

Lady Gaga- O2 Arena- get your paws up- great night out with Gaga- and all sung live as well

White Lies- York Hall- 1200 capacity venue- first gig after U2 in Rome. Preview of upcoming album- and tickets were £17.50!

Depeche Mode- Royal Albert Hall- brilliant venue, and Alan Wilder made a short appearance on stage with the band for the first time since 1994
