I had my ass kicked by the Ramones. 
First time I saw them. Last year of high school. Hollywood Palladium. There was so much sweat, beer and puke on the wooden floor that we were slipping all over it. My friend stumbled and if I hadn't caught her, she would have gone down and been stomped by all the punks thrashing around. Plus on the way there on KROQ announced an album signing at Music + on Vine street. We waited in line to get their autographs on little pieces of paper I had in my purse. I still have those. In line, people were stealing lps and unwrapping them and having the band sign them. We ditched school to do all this. Joey Ramone was and still is the pastyiest person I've ever seen in real life. Cindy Bullens opened for them.
