I am afraid to see what the ticket prices will be.
Saw the Quadrophenia tour in 1996 and it was pretty good, though the stopping between songs for bits on video from "Jimmy" did slow the show's momentum a bit, and Gary Glitter was quite scary looking (this before we found out about his "hobby") and Townshend was only playing acoustic guitar because of his tinnitis at the time save for Love Reign O'er Me when he plugged in.

And no offense to Pino, but this production will sorely miss The Ox, especially the likes of 5:15.

At any rate, I have 4 shows close enough to attend (Boston, Mohegan Sun, Manchester NH and Providence) so I'm sure I'll attend at least one. My favorite Who album by far, and the Who were my favorite band before a little 4 piece out of Dublin hit the scene.

No, that could be far worse. I was expecting worse from a band who readily admits to doing shows like this as shameless cash grabs (at least they've been honest about it). Hell, I may have to hit RI too, then. The who, playing one of my favorite albums ever? Uh...yeah. I just wish i had that time machine to go back and see them when more than half the band was still alive.

I still think that would be the best use of a time machine--going to all kinds of shows I missed because I either wasn't born yet or some various reasons.

Weren't the original Quadrophenia shows a total failure?

Seeing a younger Roger & Peter and John and Keith perform it with today's technology... that could be the greatest show in history.

Yeah, thats what ive always heard. Not saying I want to go back and see the original attempts at quadrophenia live, just saying I'd like to go back to some epic live who show when the whole band was alive.
