How do you figure? Brandon Flowers forgot how to sing, and the entire album is one long Bruce Springsteen/Arcade Fire parodying Bruce Springsteen/U2 parody.

I figure because I like it more, and I listen to it more. Pretty simple for me to think it owns Hot Fuss. It doesn't have one song on it that I hate (Hot Fuss has songs I hate).

Exactly. I kind of enjoyed the fact that they didn't try to release another Hot Fuss. It probably would have bombed just as badly as Sam's Town ended up doing. I love the songs on Hot Fuss, and I love the songs on Sam's Town, it just so happpens I love more of the songs on Sam's Town, but I love the songs on Hot Fuss more...if that makes any sense. They're pretty much equal in my eyes, they have different bits and pieces that I absolutely love, and both albums are the reason why The Killers are the only present day band in my top 5.

I don't want them to churn out the exact same thing either, but I'd like for it to be as consistent as Hot Fuss.

His sudden shift in vocal style was the weakest part of Sam's Town for me. He actually sang on Hot Fuss but is shouting all over the place on Sam's Town! WTF?? The over-emotional, almost off-key in places, vocals is what killed Sam's Town for me. I still like the album cos the melodies are still there but I can't help wondering how it would have been if he had actually sung on Sam's Town.

Hot Fuss is good, Sam's Town is amazing.

Rolling Stone had this to say about their new album

Quote:
The Killers announced today that their new disc, Day & Age, will be released on November 25th.

Last week we heard five of the 10 cuts slated for Day & Age and each one of them will blow your mind. The first single "Human" is destined to be a worldwide club hit. On "I Can't Stay" the Killers open up their sound, adding tenor sax and steel drums. And "Dustland Fairytale" is an epic — featuring characters like the "slick-chrome American prince" and "Cinderella" — that Flowers says he wrote about his parents.
Brandon Flowers Talks Day & Age: Best Killers Disc Ever!!! : Rolling Stone

I'm almost more excited for this album than the U2 album.

Yes very good, check out Tranquilize, Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf, Shadowplay, and Sweet Talk, also the Abbey Road version of Sam's Town if you didn't think Brandon sang enough on Sam's Town.

I want this new one to rock me much like Hot Fuss did. Not saying that it was to be Hot fuss pt.2 either. Sam's Town didn't do much for me.

I'd already heard most of the stuff before, but the new stuff was WELL worth it. ESPECIALLY the cover of Dire Strait's "Romeo and Juliet"

The Lou Reed fan in me couldn't resist "Tranquilize." That guy could sing/read the phonebook to me and I'd be happy.
