It is a pretty obvious Ah sound he makes when saying dancer/denser...I just wanted to believe he wasn't really saying dancer...Ooooh Well

Yeah, I just think it's funny that there were like 3 or 4 peeps in here who were CERTAIN that it was denser.

Not that it really matters. At all.

I still like the song. I thought I would quickly stop liking it, but it's sticking around at least for a little while

I'm glad it's Dancer, very abstract lyric, I'm sure it has some deep meaning to Flowers, and lyrics don't need to be universally understandable....

I honestly don't care. Sounds a bit like dancer, but that makes the lyrics simply fucking stupid.

I think it was probably more of a hope that the lyric wasn't quite THAT stupid.

Alright, this might be crazy but does anyone else hear a similarity in the chorus melodies of 'Human' and Death Cab's 'I Will Follow You Into the Dark'?

I swear I hear it in there somewhere.

Dancer or denser, I'm not liking the new song all that much. Quite subpar IMO compared to their previous first singles.

So according to the new Entertainment Weekly, the "Are we human or are we dancer?" lyrics were inspired by a disparaging comment made by Hunter S. Thompson about how America was raising a generation of dancers."
