Well, that was by far the most riveting competition we've seen. Every song received a vote, and it even looked like we could have had a five-way tie at one point.

But, in the end, three songs reigned supreme and they will be joining the tier 2 survivor, which currently stands as:

Primary - 9 votes
All Cats are Grey - 8 Votes
The Funeral Party - 8 votes

We now move on to the Pornography survivor. Due to the weekend, I'll leave this poll open for 72 hours.

Pornography is a Tier 1 album and will be having four songs go through so please VOTE FOR YOUR 4 FAVORITES!

I'm sure some of you are going to have a lot of fun with this thread and work internet-blockers.

The only thing I know for sure is that I'm NOT voting for the title track and that I am voting for A Strange Day.

A Strange Day and Cold are two of my top ten Cure songs. They're easy votes. One Hundred Years isn't far behind and slots in at third.

Not sure about fourth though - possibly The Hanging Garden but I'll give the album another spin before deciding. Rest of the album really trails well behind Cold, A Strange Day, and One Hundred Years for me.

I've never been able to warm to this album, but I still like about half the tracks, pretty much all in the first half:

One Hundred Years
A Short Term Effect
The Hanging Garden (rocks pretty fucking hard)
A Strange Day (it's really that Joy Division style guitar that gets me)

Cold is also worthy and I wouldn't really mind if it went through. The title track is shit. Everything else is just that same plodding beat with Robert moaning about cutting himself. Better than Faith? Please.

A masterpiece. I recommend everyone to listen to the Trilogy live version. The title track is more flashed out. Great, ominous melody.

Siamese Twins, The Figurehead and The Hanging Garden.

But the fact that I haven't had the chance to pick One Hundred Years and A Strange Day says a lot.

I'm only at work for a few hours today, but I'll find the time to fit a listen in. I'm having a very hard time selecting four tracks at the moment.

The Figurehead will definitely be one of my choices.

I will never be clean again...chilling stuff.

Nah, you're doing great work, we can still read but we're too lazy do to it.

Just gave the album a spin to settle my fourth vote, and I'd forgotten just how good The Figurehead and A Short Term Effect are. Still, I think The Hanging Garden is a shade superior to both of them and it won my final vote ... though now looking at the poll, A Short Term Effect could really use some love. Must admit I've always found Siamese Twins to be a complete dud.

A Strange Day/Cold has to be one of the best pairings of songs on any Cure album outside of Faith.

My re listen was a surprise as well. Going with Siamese Twins, The Figurehead, A Strange Day and Cold.

Siamese Twins should get more credit. I blame Axver. You're all kissing his ass anyway.

I remember this album took awhile to grow on me. But I liked it a lot in the end. I should listen to it again sometime as it's been ages.

I'm mystified that Siamese Twins is doing as well as Cold, which is probably my #1 Cure song. Siamese Twins is easily one of the worst songs from the 17S/Faith/Pornography period.

Cold is actually my least favourite Pornography song.
