The Cure: 4:13 DREAM

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

I’ve been on a huge kick lately. I’ve listened to almost nothing but The Cure for the last couple weeks. I listened to Faith and The Top for the first time the other day. Still haven’t listened to Galore, Seventeen Seconds, or Three Imaginary Boys.

I think my Rushmore is Push, Sinking, Just Like Heaven, and Disintegration.

Not sure if I ever posted a Cure rushmore, but it's probably:

The Kiss
In Between Days
Open
Fascination Street

Three of those have pretty long intros, def a pattern there.

Like you Tourist, I flirted with having two tracks from A Head on the Door, and had multiple options for that second one.

Hewson, as usual, is my kind of musical enthusiast.

Burn
A Forest
Fascination Street
The Figurehead

A Forest and Just Like Heaven are definitely on there for me. Like Hewson, I would have to think about the other two.

Yeah, I easily could have done In Between Days as well. The Head On The Door is my favorite album by them, even though I think Disintegration is technically the greater album. I just get so much enjoyment out of The Head On The Door.

Cold
A Strange Day
Untitled
The Funeral Party

That was unexpectedly easy.

Cannot wait for the next Cure album to come out approximately 18 months before covid-44.

The Cure is probably in my top 5 bands. That said, I haven’t liked either of their post-Bloodflowers releases much. So while the prospect of new music (whenever it happens) is exciting, I’m also not expecting much. In the meantime, I’ll just go listen to Seventeen Second, Faith, Pornography, The Head On The Door, Disintegration, Wish, and Bloodflowers on loop while the west coast burns.

I think it’s very uneven. I think it would have been better if it wasn’t a double album. Give me a 10-12 song album and I’d enjoy it more (unless the cuts would involve any of the singles or If Only Tonight I Could Sleep).
