I just...this piano breakdown on Brother Can You Hear Me

This is the corniest thing I've ever heard in the last 30 minutes

you know what though? every time i think that, something way cornier happens. like this disco intro to a life left behind. complete with piano wank. cos guitarwank wasnt enough.

i am so glad i have a ridiculous schedule which allows me to be awake at 4:30 am to listen to this godawful masterpiece with random australian and person on the other side of the country.

Seriously, what a time to be alive.

WRITE AN ALBUM ABOUT THIS PETRUCCI.

Wait, I don't want to give him ideas.

That's a pretty rad acoustic guitar riff you've got there A Life Left Behind

Too bad the rest of you sounds like an awful MIDI cover of Roundabout

I... I actually wonder if they're going for an uplifting U2 feel here.

Because they have in the past, e.g. I Walk Beside You.

There's so much joy in store for us in the remaining 90 minutes.

BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MUCH IS LEFT

er....kiwi....sorry.

Nah it's cool, I've lived on the left side of the ditch for longer than on the right.

And I only have an Australian passport because I'm a cheapskate who can't be bothered paying for both.

This actually doesn't sound remarkably different from Metropolis II.

That is, it's terribly cheesy hair metal metal garbage, albeit with more melody than the rest of the album up to this point.

if this manages to be this hilarious for the entire 130 minutes, that's actually really impressive. find me a comedian that has that much material as funny as this album.

"Gabriel knows he has no choice and as he starts to lay his fingers on the guitar, he spots Princess Faythe standing next to the Empress and is absolutely mesmerized.

She is…astonishing."

STOP

There are a fucktonne of crickets outside my place right now.

They're making an album better than this.

her will is starting to fade. she's going to let lord nefarious bang her on the riverbed with the birds watching?

"Gabriel commences playing and starts to sing the words of a deeply moving song. At first sheepishly and then with confidence and passion he sings the lines…

When you're facing the path that divides
Know that I will be there by your side
Find your strength in the sound of my voice
And you'll know
Which choice is right"

Maybe he was singing those lyrics sheepishly because he knows they're garbage

Shut up Travis, they're DEEPLY MOVING. Take my hand, we haven't time to speak!

Lord Nefarious is Faythe's dad.

you think petrucci would let a little incest stand in the way of this epic story?

i have no idea what's going on, i've been laughing for like 11 straight songs.
