Quite the combo of genres included in both of these lists...
I liked napalm death's release a lot more than the pallbearer. But I'm past the point of thinking anyone other than axver has an opinion on this matter.

Have you ever seen Metal and Punk thrown into the same genre list before? Punk and Hardcore, sure. Metal and Prog, yeah. Punk, metal, and hardcore....wha?

Yes, but by people who usually can't tell the difference.

I've seen it before, I guess as a way of appeasing people who can't agree which genres are more punk than metal and which are more metal than punk. Mainly elitist metalheads who won't accept metalcore as a metal genre because "it's hardcore punk with metal influences, not metal with hardcore punk influences!!!!!!" (or nu-metal and alt metal for that matter), yet will generally have no issue accepting grindcore, an obvious outgrowth of hardcore punk, as a form of metal.

Ian McCulloch the U2 fan:
"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

And even funnier about that is those of us more reticent to accept grindcore who come from more of a hardcore punk background.
