For all your What.cd-ers: The entire stereo box set is available in a single download. Only FLAC is available right now, but the good news is they made it freeleech. So if you're looking for a ratio boost (Shouter), this is a good investment.

Been on it since this morning, but that's actually caused my ratio to drop from around 5.5 to 2.0. Sadness. I should've held out.

Well it was only made freeleech about an hour ago. That sucks.

Word. Could be worse, I guess. My fear is that I won't be eligible for the free leeching, since I hopped onboard so long ago. Very troubling. But whatever. It'll be active forever, so I'll just continually seed, or something.

I'm sorry, I don't speak whatever the fuck you're talking about. Someone explain this shit. I'm ignorant on the topic. Damn. Damn this ignorance.

It's a private torrent tracker/site, that's all. The site almost entirely deals in music, rather than pornography or literature or whatever else. There you go.

Y'all gotta register via invitation. Don't worry, man. They're already being uploaded all over the place. You'll only wind up needing to wait an extra 30 minutes, once it's all said and done.

Well, I still haven't downloaded a thing since I got to college. I'm not sure how much they track that shit here, so I haven't tested the waters yet.

I think I just decided against getting the box. I don't listen to the old stuff enough to warrant getting it in better quality; I'll probably just buy everything from Rubber Soul onward (save for Yellow Submarine and maybe Let It Be), and save myself some $$.

I might get meself the box. Quality packaging, and my current Beatles physical collection is a mess of dodgy vinyl rips onto CD with some heinous skipping, properly purchased albums, and multiple albums slammed onto the same disc for some reason.

Just wish the Box could also feature the anthologies or something. That would be decent.

Same here, cept I'll get Let it Be for sure, I actually really like that album (see my thread on being the only one with decent musical taste).

Is Help pre-Rubber Soul? I'll get that just cause You've Got To Hide Your Love Away is one of my favorites.

Also, Rock Band seems to be floating around in the ether right now, for xbox and for Wii, but the latter only in PAL.

Not that I condone doing anything with that info.

Yeah, they showed up earlier today. Shit's getting crazy, out there...

How does one go about downloading a game and proceeding on to play it on a console?

Not that I have the little plastic guitars and drums and all that anyway. Just curious.

I'm not sure. I thought I had asked someone if it was possible to burn a Wii disc and they said no. Apparently they were wrong.

I mean, if I could avoid shelling out another $60, that would be cool. It's not like those guys need any more money. And I already have the guitar and drums, and the first Rock Band.

If it were able to burn the Xbox one on a DVD, I'd just try to borrow a couple guitars from friends.

I know it's possible to burn games for all three systems. I haven't done, and couldn't begin to tell you how it's done, but I'm sure a thorough google search could reveal the process. I'm guessing it involves a number of cracks, conversions and particular burning settings to get it right, but it shouldn't be too difficult. Also, I'd imagine Xbox would be the easiest platform to do it on given its architecture, DVD format and similarities to PC programming.

You can play games in that fashion, yes.

More importantly, as I listen to The Beatles and at times have trouble recognizing it, I realize how these remasters are two things at once:

1) Pretty fucking gorgeous.

2) Pretty fucking inessential.

The music is just so ridiculously strong, even all these years later, that I could very easily hear these remasters, know how good they sound (although Revolver-in-stereo is still underwhelming, along with the at-least-it's-interesting Sgt. Pepper's), and just go back to my old-school CDs and the few original pressings we still have floating around. It sounds great, it is great, and I'm happy, but this just isn't needed. I loved this record as much, yesterday, as I do, today.

This is a good thing, by the way. A very, very, very good thing.
