The B&C Best Albums of 2013 Thread

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
What, you think you are done fucking things up?
On that note, let's get started with the big awards.

Here are three honorable mention categories I just made up:

Most Points of Any Album without Three Votes: Charli XCX - True Romance (23 points, 2 votes)

This is, I think, the first time I've run this where my arbitrary three votes thing didn't come into play. All of the actual top thirty point totals had three votes. Charli XCX lost the number 30 tiebreaker due to having one less vote than the other 23 point album.

Most Votes without Making List: Atoms for Peace - AMOK (20 points, 7 votes)

I think the most anyone gave this album was five points.

15 Points/1 Vote Albums: Paramore - Paramore and Mogwai - Les Revanants Soundtrack

Paramore was actually the first album voted for in this thread, and it was the only vote it got.

Also...

Call me crazy, but back when this came out there was a pretty positive response, and I thought this would figure higher. Did the disappointment of Part 2 taint Part 1's memory?

I still think it's a great, great album, but as the year went on a lot of other stuff crept to the foreground and I stopped coming back to it. Part 2 being dog shit may subconsciously be a factor in it not making my list, I dunno. 2013 was just a ridiculously strong year. I left off a ton of albums I absolutely adore.

At the time it came out, not much else had really grabbed me. It got overshadowed by a heap of shit as the year went on... I actually never listened to part two.

These are the best.

I have friends that know the HAIM girls.

Just sayin'.

Also one of my friends is BFF with Chelsea Wolfe and was touring Europe with her.

This is why we suffer through 364 days of "I bought a concert ticket today through Ticketmaster. This is the first time I bought a concert ticket online. I had to use my computer. It asked me to make a Ticketmaster account but I instead bought the ticket as a guest"

A year's worth of comedy is being used up in one glorious night.
