The B&C Best Albums of 2013 Thread

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I've done this for two or three years and, yeah, that's a pretty good metric I figure. It always has a slight impact on the very end of the rankings.

No, I mean why would HAIM top the album of the year list? Like six people on this entire board have commented on it at all. Obviously you wouldn't know since you came back yesterday, but that's kind of the point: what indication has anyone given that would possibly make you think that HAIM would be the number one album of 2013 on this board?

Hahaha i just thought you guys would pick something as random as HAIM as #1

I might go and give Reflecktor a go this weekend

Do you do a seperate thread for song of the year? Worth starting one?

Why does everyone keep feeding the troll? Don't we want it to go away.

Also, if I'm the only one who lists Los Camp then Imma cut a bitch.

We usually do that here in conjunction with the albums, albeit not with any rankings.

I already listed song of the year. Shitty song of the year. Then again, I haven't heard Beady Eye, I'm sure they're making quite the argument for that honor as well.

LC! will be in my top 10, Laz. I'm spared from being hit by your hand.

I may have to throw in the Strokes in my list. My alters may vote too, and The National will not appear on any of the lists just to throw it off.

Alright, so I think now is a good time to throw some suggestions out there of albums you really enjoyed that might have flown under-the-radar for some forum members. Everyone here by now knows about Kanye, Arcade Fire, The National, Vampire Weekend, etc. But what other albums have been really good that people should listen to before they put their lists together?

I think Autre Ne Veut, Phosphorescent, Rhye, James Blake and Eleanor Friedberger all deserve to be listened to.

I really liked the Julia Holter album, will be in my shortlist too.

If ever proof was needed that music in 2013 is shite
Music is dead

Blame Miley, Lorde, Gaga and Mumford
