I'm not a Melissa Etheridge fan, but Joan Osborne's voice kicks major ass. I love that version (one of the very few Melissa songs I like).

How about this one?

(Alas, there is no live footage of the original singers singing it together.)

Speaking of Joan Osborne, and I know this isn't a duet, but have you ever heard Prince's cover of her song One Of Us? It eees gooood, especially the live version.

I think I heard a poor-quality version of his live cover - I'll have to see if I can find it.

It's a shame she's really only known for that one silly song. The rest of her first two albums are more bluesy, and she can sing like the dickens.

Her second album Righteous Love was woefully underlooked. Her last few have been a little less ballsy, which is a shame, but she does a great cover of "Cathedrals" (by Jump, Little Children - terrible band name) on her latest album that's really good.

Ben harper and Eddie Vedder do a lot of duets together. Indifference is a gorgeous song.

Im really liking the Pearl Jam/ Eddie Vedder respect over here!!
