Supergrass broke up

Not taking this very well at the moment, I've always wanted to see them live, and now it won't be happening until the 25th anniversary of I Should Coco and/or they go broke.

BBC - Newsbeat - Supergrass split after 17 years

YouTube - Supergrass - Caught By The Fuzz

YouTube - Supergrass - Sun Hits The Sky

And, sure to be a favorite of Peterrrrrrrrrrrrrr's:

Unlike Oasis, these guys were still making great music.

A shame. And don't they have a new album coming out soon?

YouTube - Supergrass - Time

I was at this show:

YouTube - Supergrass - She's So Loose - Live @ The Avalon

YouTube - Supergrass - Moving - Live @ The Avalon

...and prob my favorite SG song, such an unbelievable, one-in-a-million chorus:

YouTube - Supergrass - Cheapskate

Crap. Seems like they've been around forever.

Sun Hits the Sky is amazing.

They're one of those bands where I heard a couple of songs that I just loved, then went out and listened to more .... and was really disappointed.

huge shame. loved I Should Coco. actually saw them live at Glastonbury a few years ago purely by chance when they replaced The Libertines at the last minute. I know mega-fans will look down their nose at me but 'Alright' will always have a special place in my heart.

YouTube - Supergrass - Richard III

This was always my favourite track of theirs. Much like Placebo's 'The Bitter End' or Pixies' 'Velouria', it's the perfect scorching 45. Puts hairs on your chest and pisses all over the calculated dad-rock of 'Vertigo' (mandatory anti-U2 remark).

Oddly enough I decided to listen to "In It For the Money" the other night and wondered why I had not listened to it in years. The next morning I wake up, log onto twitter and see xfm posting that Supergrass broke up.

They opened for Radiohead the first time I saw them. I have no memory of what they sounded like.

It's a shame they broke up.
I was listening to In It For The Money last night and damn, what a record.
