Splendour in the Grass 2011

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

They announced that tour at 9 and when I found out at 2 they had sold out. Boo.

I miss the uk for awesome, varied, accommodating and AFFORDABLE music.

Seriously, miss a 20 quid arctic monkeys show at your local and just go see them 30 miles away instead :sigh:

And we live in Melbourne and Sydney... the only places in the country guaranteed to always get a show. This country sucks sometimes.

The forthcoming new Something for Kate album is keeping my spirits up though.

Whenever I think of how badly we miss out on music in Australia, I just take a quick look at a New Zealand gig guide and feel better. I'm not even joking when I say that the Melbourne live music scene is one of the main reasons why I choose to live here rather than New Zealand.

At least things are better than they used to be when it comes to international bands touring here.
