Shuttlecock XV: Seppos and the 42: Cobbler's Epic Fail

Welp. I just saw Bono in person for the first time. Didn't talk to him or get a signature but... Holy shit. That was awesome.

If it was me I would have asked him two things:

#1 When are you going to play a song from Pop? You do remember Pop, right? It's the 20th anniversary, you know.

#2 Do you realize how ridiculous you look with those glasses?

LOL, holding back comments about his sleep.....

Haha, I have been making sarcastic comments about it non-stop for the last 24 hours. I think Travis is getting close to being tired of it, but I'm going to milk it for all it's worth...just like Bono did that night he got those 9 precious hours.

I am seeing Shuttlecock tonight.
Yayyyy! :D Have fun!

He uh...actually looked pretty awesome in them :shifty:.

My big thing is this: All I really want is the opportunity to tell at least one member of the band thank you for introducing me to Travis. After that, I'm content to not get a photo, autograph or anything else, but that Thank you is something I really want to be able to say. /corn

I guarantee if you got the opportunity to tell Bongo that U2's music is responsible for you meeting your husband he'd listen and be very humbled and pleased to hear the story.

Larry, on the other hand wouldn't give a damn  (not on board with romance)

Hopefully Travis didn't lose any sleep over it. ?

Excited to go home and watch the DVRd Kimmel thing. I could watch it now on YouTube, but meh, why did I buy a big-ass TV if I'm not going to watch my favorite dudes on it?

I'm waffling about the JT reissue as well. But not really. I know I'll buy it, who am I kidding? I'm not spending $$ to jump on a plane to go to another show*, so I deserve a slightly-less-expensive reward for my good decision making.

*I did actually look up flight prices yesterday for Louisville thinking "hm, it's a weekend show, now that they seem to be more comfortable I'd like to see another show, and it shouldn't be hard to get tickets to that one." Thankfully, airfare was around $600, so I was not tempted to actually do it.

The most accurate U2 setlist archive on the web.
Often plagiarised, never matched.

Watching Kimmel. Admit that I am relieved to hear Bono say some very reasoned anti-Trump comments. I'm glad he went for it, but did it in a great way.

I wish Adam and Larry would do more, they're great . Bono's Trump stuff was good, but I really wish he'd gone in harder. The new album stuff is so frustrating, but I'm just trying to focus on how good the two concerts were. (Although the dig at Edge about getting him out of the studio and in front of real people was really, really funny.) Still Haven't Found was great but that Little Things performance was top-notch. It sounds really good to me.

The smart thing to do would have been had it available to buy as a single the second the show ended, because there was probably a lot of viewers who'd have liked to have gone and bought it and listen to it, but of course there's no chance.

Six shows, only 46 different songs, ugh.

Seven at all six: Beautiful Day, Elevation, One, Streets, Sunday Bloody Sunday and WOWY. Still Haven't Found and Pride five times.

Bad thrice, which I'm very thankful for (although two of those were this week).

Desire only once. Mercy once!!! And The Fly only once

I'm sure it was Magnificent.

This made me laugh so much hahaha, fucking savage.

I've heard Vertigo more times (19) than the number of shows I have been at (17).

:lmao::lmao:

So you got TWO Vertigo x2 shows..?

Are you guys buying the Joshua Tree box set? I don't feel like it has enough different from the version that came out a while back to justify it, but the fanboy inside of me feels ashamed to not get it. Still haven't preordered, not sure what I'll do. Lead me, guide me.

Nope, way too much money for stuff I already own. I got a poster and the record at the gig.

I am seeing Shuttlecock tonight.

Fuck you.

Guess ASOH is done and dusted. What a crying shame.

i feel a lot better about my tickets if this ends up being a permanent thing.

I'm probably preaching to the choir, but your friend is Chromecast.

i thought long and hard in the store about whether or not to spend the $45 before i got it but after having one for a while now it's easily worth at least twice what i paid.
