I don't know who Michael McDonald is so your poor attempt at a joke is lost on me. BEGONE!

You've never heard of me?

Animal Joy is easily my favorite album of theirs

This. "Animal Life" is one of those songs like the potato chip where you can't just eat one. I don't think I've ever listened to it without listening to it 3 or 4 more times in a row. And then the rest of the album is so solid, too.

Although if I ever get to listen to Rook on an overcast day in Norway, just sitting and looking out over the fiords, then maybe that will surpass it. Something about that album just screams "listen to me on an overcast day in Norway, overlooking a fijord."

The comparison to Talk Talk I get, but Michael McDonald is a pretty silly one.

ok, I'm already obsessed with this song, I'm excited for the new album even more now.

This is the correct response to this song. The only response. Only, only.

Elfa and I are the ones who know. We are winners in music listening and life.

at the cost of winning at life, i can't say i'm really feeling the electronic dancey shearwater.

Go back to San Francisco, you damned, dirty hippie.

Fuck that, I'll take my copy of Rook and listen to it while looking over a fjord in Norway on an overcast, gray day like it sounds it's meant to be listened to.

Nah, this new song is actually pretty cool, I'm liking it despite how unexpected the first 30 seconds/minute were.
