Heard his signature tune on the radio today and got a bit choked up. Whether or not he contributed a great deal to the music community, San Francisco really summed up that whole era, and it underlines that a brilliant generation of musicians has and will continue to pass away.

Easily one of my favorite songs from that era. Gorgeous. What a legacy he leaves behind with just that one tune.

Funny enough, not having been in the car with Travis at the time, we heard the same radio broadcast about it and I, too, got quite emotional. One of my favorite songs ever. I almost posted a thread while driving, but felt such reckless abandon wouldn't have been worth it.

R.I.P. good sir.
