She opened for Coldplay... hmmmm... that gives me a reason to see them

I like her songs but this video is great.

I saw her opening for Coldplay too...her music was OK, but she gets points off on the live show for those ridiculous dancers.

I'd heard she was really similar to MIA, so I avoided checking her out. I like MIA, but I didn't feel the need for a CD by a singer who was like another MIA, you know?

Then I picked up the CD because it was dirt cheap at the store, and whaddya know? Some of it is like MIA, and some of it is like really awesome retro 80s vibe stuff, and I totally dig it.

people use to say that "she's like MIA" because MIA discovered Santogold, but they're not alike

I really like this chick, probably her debut album it's a little unbalanced but I augur her a big future

I dunno, there were a few songs on the Santogold CD where I hear similarities to MIA. Not that I could name them - I just don't think it's a completely baseless argument.

I really like her album, Strangely enough, most of her music reminds me of Blondie rather than M.I.A.

well yeah that was exactly the problem. Why would they have her open up for them. As soon as I heard her I knew this was a big mistake.. Totally wrong audience..

looks like Coldplay copies U2 even when it comes to mismatched opening bands

I'm thinking it was a label mate deal, but who knows…
