waaaay ahead of his time.
check out the Fly-like riff around the 2/3-3/4 mark of the 1st vid

both of these are intrumental jams. the first is Mandrake Root, spanish-gypsy sounding jam with fast riffs and some guitar "experimentation" mixed in.

the 2nd is called Wring that Neck, a funky jazz-blues rock tune with guitar and organ solos in the middle and an epic guitar climax.
