I got the White Stripes and Darjeeling Limited soundtrack. I didn't get the U2, Flaming Lips, and Guided By Voices releases. I had fun. Just hanging out with like minded record nerds at 5am is fun and made time fly by until 9am when the store opened.

Here's my haul. Not bad. Got The Decemberists, Florence and the Machine, Courtney Barnett, Johnny Marr, Slayer, Metallica and a collection of weird electronica, including the theme from Doctor Who. Cause I'm a giant nerd.

Rough Trade NYC had run out of U2, Johnny Cash and The White Stripes by the time I got there. I was thinking about getting The Dresden Dolls release, but not for $50. Still, a good collection overall!

I ended up with Elvis, Citizen Dick, and Cloud Nothings. My store didn't receive any copies of U2. I guess I would be upset if the U2 record had anything unique on it.

They had a couple of the Father John Misty, but someone else grabbed them first.

We decided to check out Amoeba.

It's 4 in the evening.

We're in a line snaking around the store.

After we see if they still happen to have Polaris... We have to wait in another line that stretches all the way to the back of the store to check out.

Never.
Again.

At almost 5:00 PM on RSD? Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

I didn't hear anyone in line this morning mention U2. People were specifically there for Foo Fighters and Metallica, but not U2.
