A very nice read with several of our favorites listed.

Boise has a good indie store?

I refuse to believe that.

Not an excuse. I don't have one either. I get to listen to my records maybe 5 or 6 times a year, but still buy them anyway.

Cool, thanks for that! I especially liked how I mentioned how nice the employees at the Electric Fetus are, and that was a specifically mentioned point about the store. Apparently they're known for that.

Reckless is pretty overrated, in all honesty. Good store, but if that's one of the 15 best in the nation, then the nation's pretty fucking blah. Good store, yes. But just "good."

I'd put Easy Street in Seattle on that list before Sonic Boom. Easy Street has in-store performances as well, and a far greater selection and variety of genres. Bigger used section, too.

I just finally listened to my new It's Blitz! LP. It sounds so great and I'd recommend picking it up.

Here's a website that's keeping an updated list with all the exclusives for 2010:

If I didn't already own an original copy, I would too. I'm probably going to try for the Broken Bells, Beach House, Fela Kuti, Phoenix, and This Will Destroy You. Maybe the two Pavement ones and a couple others, we'll see how poor I'd like to make myself that day.

Is Dear Science that hard to find now that it needs a rerelease?

Not being a vinyl collector, there's not a single thing on there I'm interested in.

That was my first thought as well. I mean, Desperate Youth needs a reissue far more than Dear Science, I'd think.

I'm so pumped for Record Store Day, not because I collect a lot of vinyl (I have a few choice LPs from my parents' collection that didn't make their way to the trash, like Hey Jude), but because Newbury Comics discounts all kinds of stuff like whoa, including used CDs and DVDs.
