They were going to call the album The King of Lies, but realized that referencing Boner so blatantly could cost them serious indie cred.

I'm looking forward to overrating or underrating this.
You know who else had their thunder stolen by his album news? R.E.E.M.
The fact that they also have an album coming out soon is almost an afterthought as far as I'm concerned.
It's their Joshua Tree
Stipe has become the King of Turds.
I'll get the new R.E.M. from iTunes. I haven't been terribly excited by what I've heard so far. Sounds just like the last two records to my ears.
Did anyone actually get a confirmation who preordered it? The page sorta just moved back to the main page when I tried to process. Tried to log in, and it says I have no valid orders.

I dont know if I should be discussing the album here or in the other thread....What if I chose the wrong one? What if someone writes something cool in the other and I dont read it? uuuuhhhh. what do I do?
this happened to me, i'll try again. i don't know whether to get the whole "kit and caboodle" or just get the download and then buy the CD/vinyl later.
Dang, the site wouldn't take either of my credit cards. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'll try again later, and maybe I'll go the PayPal route instead.
only 8 tracks on the album?
Radiohead At Ease News - Is Radiohead's 'The King Of Limbs' an 8-track album?
Same discussion already going on in the other thread.
I guess we should figure out which place to discuss this, and then shun everyone who discusses it in the wrong area.
8 isn't bad, particularly considering we don't know track lengths.
We could request a merge of the threads? Like a sort of merger of the two threads. Like when Exxon and Mobil merged.
If so, I say we keep this thread title. It's cleaner, and Elfa made it.
I think something to do with the new album should be included, as that's all anyone is really coming to mention (also it will avoid new threads created by people who don't visit often). Also, it's quick news for people who look infrequently or don't visit other music sites. Just seeing a huge Radiohead thread won't queue people onto things.
Clearly if we have anything to say we should post it in both threads.
