Agreeing with the sentiment here on WSYB, and thanks to LM and Intedomine on their defenses of Scatterbrain, which I wasn't able to articulate as well myself.

Why "We Suck Young Blood" made the album over "Where Bluebirds Fly" does not make any sense to me.

"Gagging Order," no matter how awesome it is, barely fits in the context of the album... maybe after "Go to Sleep" or something.

I hate those moments in songs that kick ass, but only last momentarily and are the best parts of the song. Liek how the best part of Echoes only lasts for 42 seconds, or that guitar part in Morning Bell before "cut the kids in half".

I felt that way for the longest time. I thought of it as the one beam of sunlight cutting through an utterly drab, monotonous song. I definitely don't feel that way about it anymore.

The Amnesiac version is ALL SUNLIGHT.

Glorious.

What's the go with that anyway? I thought there was another song with the same name. So is it the same song, slightly different version...

I actually kinda like the Kid A version of Morning Bell a little better, the Amnesiac version gets a little shrill at some points...

And I would like to say I don't hate Scatterbrian, it's a decent enough song and all, just not a favourite of mine is all...

Definitely. That part in Morning Bell is spectacular, especially the Oxford 2001 version. And what 40 seconds in Echoes are you implying? Is it that beautiful part where Gilmour comes back with the chiming guitar after the psychedelic break? Because that one is for me the best Pink Floyd moment ever.

Yeah, that's the one, about 18 odd minutes I think it starts. Completely agree it's one of my favourite moments.

The Amnesiac version is quite gorgeous, but also incredibly repetitive. It's clearly at demo stage there. Give me the Kid A version on most days.
