I think people will recognize that in 40 or 50 years. Amused To Death, Dark Side or The Wall might be considered his masterpeices but Ca Ira deserves mention. Hear Ye, The Fugitive King, But The Maquis and To Freeze In The Dead Of Night are my other favorites off that masterpeice. I'm really not sure what I'd prefer: a new Roger Waters solo album or opera.
Definitely. The man is a genius. It certainly took him long enough to do his opera, but I'm glad he stuck with it and finished it. Great personal accomplishment for him as a musician. I'm glad it has been so well-received since its release, even if one a smaller scale than if, say, he released a rock album. Number one on the Sony classical charts, marvellous stage productions that have received a great deal of praise... I'd love to see him do more on the classical/opera front as well. Could you imagine a symphony composed by him? Love this interview, by the way:

OMG, Summer '68 is too awesome for words.

I saw someone with a signature on another board that read "Marmalade, I love marmalade", and I just had to give Atom Heart Mother another listen. It's soooooooo much better than any album they recorded before it (yes, I'm including the horribly overrated PATGOD in that as well ).

Everything on Meddle is good (yes, I do happen to like Seamus well enough). That's a sad excuse for an insult.

How about Sysyphus Part IV > me?

And people called me crazy for using that in the Desert Island Album Game II.

And people look at me like I have three heads when I say that is my favourite Pink Floyd song.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."
