Another year, another festival season has begun.

Why is Elbow in small script? They should be in a bigger font. :grumpy:

There's a lot in that line-up that is awesome.

The better questions is why is Kings of Leon in such big script? Why are they popular? Why do people like "music" like that? WHYYYYYYYYY?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha.

Sunday is definitely the most appealing day for me at this music festival. Not that I'm going or anything.

I agree on both fronts. I mean, I know Elbow's not huge in America but they sell-out arenas in England! They should definitely be up on the third tier or so.

As for the lineup, not a fan of the headliners (except Arcade Fire). But the second tier on all three days looks incredible. Didn't know Animal Collective or Death From Above have returned. That is pretty damn cool.

I can't afford it this year but several of my friends have gone the day of and gotten in below cost of a day. I am definitely on operation: golddigger for that 3rd night ;) Kanye killed last time he played coachella.

i love how a lot of you are underwhelmed by that line up. compared to the line ups we get at festivals i end up attending, that's fucking amazing. we pay more money for a much worse line up. i'd kill a pony to go to that festival.

probably not, but you catch my gist.

Sicy you are right, there is some seriously good oonts oonts oonts on that lineup. Bloody Beetroots

I never even listened to that shit. And I love that band, and think he's a hell of a good young frontman.

Weird.

 they're playing at a festival here in March i think, can't wait.

did you like Kele's solo album? i didn't, but i see he's on the bill, would you go see him?

Chem Bros. are fantastic. I've seen them 3 or 4 times and they bring it every time!

I saw that Kele is going to be at Coachella. I will probably go see him if he doesn't conflict with anyone better playing at the same time. (If nothing else, I think he plays 'Flux' during his sets.) I was not impressed with his solo album; it's listenable, but nothing special. There's a couple songs that are decent, but most of it is mediocre at best. I love how he got a big head and ego and said he only wants to make hard electronica music and that's the album he put out! :lmao:

However, this pic from last month made me SUPER HAPPY! Merry Christmas from the Bloc. x on Twitpic

Whats the cost of a three day ticket for this? If held in Australia this festival would cost in the 1000's of ooonts ooonts.

Makes every big festival over here look like a club gig.

everyone's forgetting fucking duran duran. seriously excited for them that they managed to do coachella. i've seen them before at a festival and as always, they put on a fantastic show. really wish i could go to it.

I would be very excited about the prospect of seeing them live. I love Rio and a bunch of singles. However, their presence would be detrimental to my "hipster paradise" list.

IMO.

In my opinion.

imo.

I like about 5 or 6 of the artists you listed.

Weak. Not as good as any single Lolla lineup from the last like 6 years.

I disagree, as you can probably surmise. Lolla 2008 was a little better, maybe. Regardless, the key word here is I, and your take is certainly respected, even though I'm still a little surprised anyone could dislike this lineup. It's extremely diverse, probably the only major festival to accept electro on this scale. Of course, if you don't like that kind of music, it's not a plus.

Anyway, I can't go, but I never miss Lolla if it can be helped.
