I really wish someone would make a shorter edit of that song and include only the first leg. It would be my favourite track without the garbage that follows it

The only thing that annoys me about the song is the autotune. I just don't get the point of it.

I went to see him last night. It was amazing but now I'm pissed off because I looked at Imp's setlist and we didn't get an encore, he just came out at the end and did Chicago. I thought he was doing it as a nice gesture to make up for the fact he hadn't played in Adelaide before, but I was clearly wrong. Goddamn, I wanted me some Casimir. Otherwise I believe the setlist was identical. I'm interested that he played All Delighted People at gump's show, that's probably my favourite of the songs he released last year.

Still wonderful, though. I can't believe how well Impossible Soul worked out. Just a fantastic concert and I want him to come back soon.

I didn't notice people leaving or anything, but the resounding laughter once the auto-tune bit in "Impossible Soul" kicked in was a telltale sign.
We got this too, but not as loudly as I was expecting. Also, he was really talky, which was nice.

Glad you enjoyed the show. We also didn't get an encore, if that makes you feel better...

I tried to find a recording of All Delighted People from my show but I don't think there is any available, so I'll just post this instead:

Sufjan Stevens announces new album Carrie & Lowell | Consequence of Sound

Quote:
Spanning 12 tracks, the album will see Stevens returning to his “folk roots,” according to a press release. The title is named after his mother and stepfather and, as such, themes include “life and death, love and loss, and the artist’s struggle to make sense of the beauty and ugliness of love.”

Carrie & Lowell Tracklist:
01. Death With Dignity
02. Should Have Known Better
03. All of Me Wants All of You
04. Drawn to the Blood
05. Fourth of July
06. The Only Thing
07. Carrie & Lowell
08. Eugene
09. John My Beloved
10. No Shade in the Shadow of the Cross
11. Blue Bucket of Gold

Hope this doesn't disappoint because the "return to folk" thing definitely has me excited.

As much as I love Age of Adz and his more experimental phase, I'm really looking forward to getting banjo Sufjan back at some point in this album.

I haven't heard Michigan in a couple of years and before that only a handful of times over the span of several years, but listening now I can hum along to every track on this like I heard it yesterday. That, to me, is a sign of great songwriting. Illinois has higher peaks but I'm more likely to listen to this one straight through.

Bought (legally, mofo, fuck u) Sufjan Stevens invites you to: Come on feel the Illinoise. First time I've listened to Sufjan, so I had no idea what to expect. My first impressions, upon glancing at the back cover and then running time, were that this could possibly be even more pretentious than Bright Eyes.

But I actually really enjoyed it. Hardly a bum note and it wasn't too much of a drag, despite having a run time of approximately 17 hours. My favourite track was probably Chicago, and others I really liked included UFO Sighting, John Wayne, Jacksonville, Casimir Pulaski Day, Metropolis, Predatory Wasp and the last track, Out of Egypt, was a real nice instrumental.

Definitely good stuff

Is there a way to illegally "buy" things?
